Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired will host Dining In The Dark on Friday, October 27, 2017. The first of its kind in San Joaquin County, guests will have the opportunity to wear sleep shades--removal of vision gives greater awareness of other senses. This event gives a glimpse into an unfamiliar world. Chef Paul Ratto, Heritage Dining and Provisions at Waterloo Gun and Bocce, will create delicious delicacies using fresh local ingredients. Cost is $75.00 per person and includes a seven course meal, blind olive oil and wine tastings, raffle, and silent auction. Proceeds benefit Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired and provide the means by which people who are blind or have low vision improve and sustain their capabilities and potentials to re establish purpose and self esteem in their lives and in society. Enjoy friendship, great food, and good times. Contact (209) 466-3836 for more information. Or, visit http://www.communitycenterfortheblind.org to purchase tickets securely online.
